NYC Apartment Kyle Dewoody (2012)
I was digging into some old design blogs and found this gem of an article, i love the space the vibrancy of it the whiteness of the walls invites endless additions of art in frames, its a work in progress and finished product at the same time, perfect way to decorate and design and NYC Apartment without losing your deposit and still let it evolve like your lease, annually.
Living in your New York requires you to create your own oasis of what inspires you and brings you joy to shelter you from this ruthless city, its gritty streets, noisy subway all the unpleasant little things, Although you’ll be inclined to leave any apartment as is and don’t bother becauses
A) Your Lease is up soon and you don’t know if you’ll stay
B) You do not have the energy after selling your soul at your 9-5 job in the city
C) You don’t think is worth it and ikea requires a vehicle
or all the above, you should reconsider and take the plunge of beatifying whatever hole in this nyc grid you are dwelling in. As i design my Flatbush Apartment and gather supplies, decide on decor and fight about furniture with my boyfriend, i take courage and inspiration from places like this one, its eclectic, artistic, tasteful and vibrant but most important in this city extremely “packable” (i might’ve made up that word) its an idea or design you can easily “Pack and Go” on to your next Lease or adventure, i encourage you to try it go ahead make your current apartment livable, your home.
Tub Envy with Kelis
via The Coveteur
If i could choose any star that mimics my style in fashion and decor, it would have to be Kelis, and from the looks of it in the article while getting “coveteured” she has proved me right that my aesthetics aligned with hers. The one thing that stole the show for me was this gold plated tub, im forever a fan of baths and i strongly believe having a good tub in your place, significantly raises its real estate appeal, that being said everything around her house seemed to be touched by sparkle in an antique, old money, gold bricks type of way not a flashy, R & B or Hip Hop, new money type of way, Trust there is a difference..
